Spring 2025 outreach
Steve Bannon's master plan and Elon Musk's effort to break our government have combined to ignite the pro-democracy movement. The movement has caught fire all across the country, and that threatens to consume the Trump regime. I have some ideas on how we can keep the momentum growing by being visible and providing easy volunteer opportunities.
I have discussed with many of you the idea that the best way to reach voters in our community is with volunteer options that are simple and take less than an hour to accomplish. I describe the volunteer opportunities as engagement events, which are categorized as civic and political. Civic engagement events are community-based volunteer opportunities that provoke a positive image of town committees. Presently we are having great success with political engagement events such as postcard parties, forums, and sign holding. This spring, as part of the progressive volunteer fair, we had talked about each committee hosting one civic engagement event. Additionally, I would like to propose that we put together a series of coordinated political engagement events that involve multiple towns Democratic committees. For the political engagement events this spring, I would like to propose that we host weekly visibilities, monthly postcard parties, quarterly forums, and meetups.
Political Engagement
This spring, Democratic time committees and progressive groups should consider hosting four types of political engagement events to grow the program movement. Click the icons below to find out about weekly visibilities, action parties, issue forums, and community meetups.
